Brakes problem. Help!
A friend of mine has a 1990 f150 and the rear brakes are locked up and we are stuck as to what can be the problem. the rear brakes started acting up about a month ago and they needed to be serviced so new wheel cylinders, pads, and a new hardware kit was put on which included all new springs. we bled them and they seemed perfect. a couple days later when he drove it from the first time since the brake job they started smoking from both rear drums. got it towed home and it appeared the parking brake lines were bad which they were so those got replaced and that works as it should. drove it around today and it started doing it again. we are now thinking it is something hydraulic and not sure where to start. dont want to throw money at it if someone knows where to lead us. the brake light and abs lights both come on randomly and this may be because of whats going on. our best guesses are a master cylinder or a proportioning valve maybe? thanks for any feedback and advice.

looked into the problem some more and think we may have it figured out. found out the abs module can make this happen so we are going to put a new one on and hope it fixes this for good. the fluid in the truck was really dirty so the module probably got clogged and went bad. new fresh fluid is in it now
