Hey everyone, new to the forum! I have a 2005 2wd F250, and today I began the install of a 2" aluminum leveling kit (the coil spacer variety). Everything was going smoothly until I tried to rebolt the coil spring to the upper bracket. because of the added height from the spacer, the coil has a bow, or "bulge" in it, attaching at the bottom and bending out toward the rotor. Does anyone know the remedy for this? Will it correct itself after a good alignment? or should I shim up the spacer? Please forgive my ignorance if this is common, a little bigger animal than my jeep that I lifted! Thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated!
My coils bulge like you are describing. I was concerned at first, but after double checking and making sure they were indexed correctly I just decided to run it. That was 140,000 miles ago and it seems fine. Kinda irritating to look at though

Thanks for the reply! Have you noticed anything different about how your truck rides after you installed your leveling kit? Also, did you take a look at the picture I added, to see if your coils bowing to the degree that mines at right now? It just seems pretty out of whack, like it might blow out on an especially hard bump
Your pics aren't showing up. I didn't notice at first it was 2 wheel drive. Mine is 4. Mine do have a pretty good bow to them. Mine wandered a bit as it changed my caster a bit so I had an alignment done. Probably could have gone without the alignment as it wasnt too bad but it needed one anyhow. Hope this helps
