volt meter needle twitch

hi yall volt meter needle stays in center of gauge then will twitch back&forth to a small degree at times but not all the time. got new Batt. every thing seems work ok. Batt. lite did on&off for awhile. works ok now. shop pressure washed engine 3 mths. ago. they say alt. ok good volts. need help. 93ran. 4.0 v6 170k 5 speed man. thank you. treb

If Ford's voltage meter is the same as the oil pressure gauge...then it's worthless anyway. You probably have a bad connection or a bad switch.
