EDGE vs SCT

Hey guys -

I have a question and wanted to see what your recommendations are.

I have used an EDGE CTS in the past, and love it, and now I'm looking to get something for my Excursion (2005 6.0 - BONE STOCK).

I've narrowed it down to either the Edge CTS, or the SCT Livewire.

The EDGE is about $230 cheaper, but obviously doesn't have any tuning capability.

The SCT has custom tunes, but I'm not sure that I want/need them.

I'm not looking for huge power - with it stock, its got plenty of power for what I need it for- the only reason that I'm even considering the SCT with tune is that it might increase my mileage a little, but I'm worried about what that slight increase in mileage might do to the engine/trans.

Is it worth it to spend the extra for the SCT, or should I just go with the EDGE?

AND - if I go with the SCT, could I move it and the tunes over to my truck (2007 F350 6.0) periodically if I wanted to without a whole lot of effort?

If your happy with your power and are just looking for mpg, save your money and buy a coolant filter. More power and more mpg do not equate.

no edge..........sct all the way I have it and I get about 4 more miles to the gallon and its on performance...the edge will tear your tranny up...sct programs all that to fit your truck
