edge tuner mods

I now have 12000 miles on my 05 350 lariat with the 6.0 and love it. Is the edge module really going to make a difference in power but most importantly mileage.

Yes and Yes. If you have an auto tranny...you will need to tune it with a flash tuner and a custom tranny/edge tune. If you have a manual tranny...no need for that and it will rock.
The Edge has some great power. And I get to program it "on the fly" to "fume" tail gators. What a puff of black smoke! LOL

Dogdude2003, how are you set up. I drove a 2004 350 with the EDGE JUICE ATTITUDE and became a fan but am interested in stacked for the added trany tune. I have a 2005 350 6.0L DRW and would like f/b and info on the combo.

You can stack the Xcalibrator SCT with a custom Edge stack tune (which is basically a tranny tune only with no power added) to work with the Edge. Programs 2&3 are HP and Max Torque for if you want to put the Edge to stock and run it that way.
You can get the SCT with the custom tune from this site's sponsored web site... It makes a big difference and will save your tranny. Good luck

Thanks for the great info on mods, will all this monkey business effect the warranty. Will just the edge mods use up my tranny?

If you have a manual tranny..no. If you have an auto tranny, yes.

Yes it will effect your warranty at ground level at the dealer. You must pull the Edge out and flash back to stock (sct) before taking it in.

Dude! Thanks, I like the idea of the combo/stack, best of both worlds. Do you mind me asking what this combo ran money wise? Thanks again.

It was expensive. Before I knew I could get the Edge and install it myself easily for $800, I had a shop do it for $1100. The SCT was almost $500 with the custom tune and computer cable. I wouldn't have purchased the computer cable if I had to do it again. The people I bought it from don't respond to people who aren't buying something at the time of email. So, since I already paid...they have no need to respond, which really ticks me off.
Anyway...the Edge Juice and SCT was about $1600 total. You could get both cheaper and put the Edge in yourself easily. I've taken mine out and put it back in twice and it's simple.

Pac50,
Dogdude is correct about the Edge making great power, and needing the SCT to tune the trans to hold up under the additional engine power. However, the SCT can also program the engine to make more power. You could start with an SCT programmed with both engine and trans upgrades and see how you like it before spending the extra $800 on the Edge. Email me if you have any questions.
