I hate going to Pep Boys, almost as much as I hate going to Office Depot, or shopping at Newegg.com. LOL Every time I go to these places for one or two items, I end up with a shopping cart full of stuff before leaving. Went there for a major tuneup and oil/filter change, and while waiting for them to finish the truck I spent $600 on stuff in their store. Picked up 3 electric window motors, a headlight cleaning product (Don't remember the name) Locking gas cap, Hayden's largest trans cooler, a cordless drill and bits, and then the kicker, a Optima red top battery. So now, with the starter, and both solenoids being replaced, and a brand new battery, this Bronco should start right up.
When all was said and done, it cost me $1,100, for everything, and they did check for codes, but only found a "snap throttle" code. So I don't know if this tuneup will cure the running crappy problem that shows up randomly or not. Time will tell.
At least when I get home I can be in air conditioned comfort. July 4th when it was 109 outside, and all I had was a swamp cooler, it was miserable in here. I was walking around most the day in my swimming shorts, and spraying myself with a water bottle to stay cool. I bought 2 small AC units from Home Depot on the 3rd, but the maintenance people did not have time to install them until the 5th. However, now that they are installed, I am a happy camper. The one in the computer room (ex-master bedroom) works great, the one in the living room is larger, but has a larger room to cool, and it is open to the hall and kitchen so I would imagine it does not cool as well. Will have to think of something to keep the cool air in the living room. Like those hanging clear plastic "curtains" they use in commercial freezers that you walk through to go in.

lol yesterday i was in wind co and passed by pep boys and i think i passed ur new trailer park lol but yea i do the same thing at pep boys go in for one come out with a cart full
Happy Sunday Nor Cal FTE and friends. Hope everyone has a blessed day.
The Bronco starts right up now, no slow starter whine, lights are bright, so maybe that 6 month warranty Pick-n-Pull battery was on its last legs anyway. It lasted a year and a half, so that is pretty good.
May end up putting curtains in between the living room and kitchen, and the hallway to keep the cool air in the living room. Thinking they would be cheaper, and easier to find then the plastic ones I mentioned.
Great choices my friend, I'd like to see Ricky rip one off, good luck chum, must be hard to go to bed knowing yer wife is ahead of you in the draft huh........ put her on the phone, I wanna talk to her, hahahahahaha

Happy Monday Nor Cal FTE and friends. The man cave is beginning to shape up now, built one computer only to have another one die. LOL, Had it fixed this morning for $5, now that is what I call service! Tomorrow my big screen arrives, well, big to me, it is only 42", I did not want to spend $850 for a TV so I got this one. has 3d and I already have some 3d Blu ray discs waiting to be viewed. I am loving it here.
Happy Two for Tuesday, maybe Amazon.com sent me two TV's since they screwed up the delivery and made it late? One can only hope. LOL. Have a great day everyone. I know I will once that TV gets here.
Ok, my computer room is now complete. At least for now.
When I am not playing Eve Online, which you see on all three screens (because I have 3 different accounts) I am usually just using the center screen with the computer on the right. Can't see it in the photo but I bought a 4x4 piece of plywood for the computer chair to roll on, and it was making black marks on it, so I bought some vinyl floor tile to cover it, and put some on the front edge of the 3.5x7' plywood I used to cover the desk (which was only 3x5') so I would not get splinters. LOL.
