My brother in law and I have 2011 6.7L trucks (F250 and F350) but unlike me he just had his first no start problem. I've had the fuel pump go out on my F250 back in November, an EGT (or is it EGR, hmmm?) sensor die and a few months ago and an oil leak that started a little over a week ago. Took it in to Ford and turned out to be an oil line leak, I believe to the turbo. Was fixed under the power train warranty and I got an oil change out of the deal!
Anyway, today my bro in law gets back in his truck after hauling his fifth wheel around, turns the truck on and it runs for about 10 seconds then shuts down, followed by 2 or 3 chimes and a warning of low oil pressure.
Any takers on what the problem may be? We're suppose to head out this coming Monday for vacation with our fifth wheels (in time for the 108 degree forecast!) so not looking good at this point. The truck will go into the dealership Monday but any ideas here would be great. Thanks.
