FICM issues

has anybody ever had the plugs keep popping out of the FICM. It seems when the weather gets hot outside and I run the truck most of the day everytime I shut down and try to restart I have to push my plugs in to the FICM.

How do I stop this annoying problem? I have pushed them in till I hear the Click but they still seem to pop out. just enough to tell truck to not start, truck runs fine even with them loose. Odd problems. I had Ford Dealer put new injectors in last week and they said just push them in and they should stay put

They should stay in but maybe get some Zip ties and go around all three, may have to get the big ones to go around the FICM

Thank You! I'm waiting for it to cool down and I'm going to add the Zip Ties.
Hopefully this helps. Sucks to stick your hand into a hot motor on a 100 degree day just to start up, people look at me funny and its starting to **** me off. This Truck seems plagued with problems.
Thanks Again!

how long have you had to do this ? did the dealer brake the snaps ? I would check and see if you got the upgraded wire harness. the recall was back in 06/07

The Truck is an 06 but I have no Idea if they have the upgraded version. I have had the truck into a few different mechs in my area and finally gave in to taking it to Ford when the other mechs were stumped by my problems. Each time I get it back from a mech I have to push these plugs in after a day or two from the shop. The last time it was in the shop was about 2 weeks ago and I had no issues since then till today. Its our first day above 80 degrees in a long long time today and ironically the last time I had this same prob It was near 90 degrees outside. I just looked at the three plugs and the two towards the back of the motor look snug and tight. The front one is the one I always have issues with. Kinda looks like maybe the little clips are bad? Not sure as this motor is shoe horned into this cab, good grief no wonder the mechanics charge so much to work on it, you got enough other crap to remove before you can even get to the problem.

I do think the Heavy Duty zip ties are going to work, doesn't take much effort to push it up, but obviously doenst click into place correctly. it looks like somebody along the way had an issue removing it and forced it out.

On another question, I had an 04 6.0L and that motor was a lot less rattley sounding, When I let off the throttle it sounds like I got a "chirping sound" coming from the top of the motor. My old 6.0L never made this sound. But I am hoping its just some common noise with the newer 06 motor?
One guy said its probably the injectors, had those changed out and still have the weird noise. Truck seems to be running fine and if I goto the TOW/HAUL mode truck has tons of power and mileage is steady at 15 MPG no matter how hard I push it.
This noise is very strange. nothing I have ever heard before but I don't get into any other 6.0L's so I have nothing but my old one to compare it to.

Could be Turbo spooling, do you have any gauges to read live Data? check boost and make sure all CAC boots are not split and clamps are tight? also have some one do the Throttle while you listion maybe a pully or clutch fan sqeeking and or belt
