Actually my wife's Honda Civic. Thinking of forking out the $35.00 some dollars to get her car to cool better.
Is it worth it or should I just suck it up and take it to a stealership?

Take it to anyone who knows what they are doing and has the tools and equipment to do it right the first time.
That product is a roll-up of R134a, some PAG oil, some leak sealer, and some magic pixie dust (additive package). It will likely help some folks and be a waste of money for others.

First, you need to determine if your system is leaking. If it is, you'll see oily residue buildup at the leak point itself.
If no leaks are found, you may be able to recharge using the can-method.
BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS METHOD. YOU CAN OVER-PRESSURIZE YOUR SYSTEM AND THAT WILL CAUSE MAJOR PROBLEMS.
You have to decide for yourself if you're capable of doing this repair properly. If not, take it to the shop and have it done properly.
