I am thinking about putting 22.5's on my 2006 F-350 Dually.
Does anyone have some information that would help me decide to do this or not? What the pro's and con's to this upgrade? Maybe a place I can get a better deal on this project.
I would appreciate any information.
Thank you
Ed
i only know one person who has this on their Ford Dually, a guy i see in the local auto store from time to time. Its been five years and he still has the same tires because they wear so long, but he told me his MPG suck after he installed them, and the ride is horrible, brakes are wearing out faster and trying to take them on and off is a nightmare
More cons than pros...one significant con would be a considerable increase in unsprung weight, another is the initial cost and then ride quality. The only pro I could think of is the added load carrying capacities.
Thanks, I am on the edge about making that change. I think I am leaning more towards not doing it now. I plan on pulling a toy hauler, when I can get one, and I don't think it would maneuver well with that.
I looking into putting 19.5's on mine when my current 17's are shot. We will see how many miles I get out of the 17's. I plan on using the Rickson wheels and tires from a local dealer. Let me see if I can find the tires.
