I have been having this problem with my truck for the last few months. I have done some things trying to figure this out but have had no luck. The truck drives fine till u start going over 60 mph, and seems to get a little better over 70mph. The last set of tires I had on the front axle wore out the most on the inside of the tire and this set shows the same wear. It is a Dana 60 that I swapped in about a year ago. I have changed out all the bushings on the front end, springs, shackles and trac bar. It is still shaking pretty bad and I'm now asking for you alls help. If u have gone thru this and figured it out please shoot me your tips.
Get your self an adjustable trac bar with hiem joints. I made mine for $50. And also go get and alignment. Also check your steering box and the frame around that. If anything is cracked it can cause massive death wobble. Also if your front springs are incredible soft and worn out, they can start bouncing in and oscillating motion, ie- death wobble
Where did u get the parts for the adjustable trac bar? I've been wanting to change the steering box because is has a good amount of play, and a friend said maybe that could cause it. I'll check for cracks too.
My buddies shop, he gave me 24" but i only need 16", and i used 1" OD .120 wall and 2 3/4x3/4 hiems. One with reverse threads and the weldable bungs. TIG welded nicely and it works great. I
