Stableloads

Got a set of these to test.
they work by engaging the overload before you put a load on go.

Should be an interesting piece of hardware

I clicked on Ford 05-11 and it directed me to the A7311 Kit W/Drill setup. So I guess we do have to drill.

Yeah in this case it was no drill. Directions they came up with sucked but the picture was good.

Plus I have see other pictures.

In the F150 they help a lot with heavy loads. I will put some weight on it tonight and we will see.

Not sure of cost for these yet. They are pretty new out there hence the testing of them.

senix you have totally stock suspension now right, other than the stabeloads? have you used air bags or any other of suspension helpers before?

I have the airbags, been using them since 2010. Thought I would try them anyway.

I am thinking even with the airbags it will stiff the suspension up some. Going down the road with the 5er you still get a certain amount of bounce if that sounds right. Especially over bridges and stuff. The airbags are bringing the load level and with these then It will engage the overloads full time and keep the bounce down I think.

Well I have been using the stableloads engaged and the airbags at 5psi. The suspension is a lot stiffer now both loaded and unloaded.

Ride height is basically unaffected but the bounce is gone.

Downside is you have to engage before you load up. So plan accordingly.

At this point I am recommending these as a low cost do it yourself way of enhancing your ability for those heavy loads.

is that what you normally would run the bags at? so unloaded its rough riding and loaded is smooth?

I normally leave 5 psi in the bags so as not to pinch them.

Not sure I understand the rest of your question.

Unloaded with 5 psi in the bags the ride is fine. Loaded down the ride is fine as well with the bags. You will still get a certain amount of bounce.

With the stableloads and bags the extra bounce goes away.
