Ok, I finally had a chance to program in the ICV into my scan gauge. I am seeing 4.48 volts as soon as I turn the key on. The scan gauge doc says it should only be .2 volts with the key on. Does this help at all? I did get a pig tail but not sure how long it will be before I am well enough to crawl back up in there to change it.
ICPV=volts
koeo=0.2
low= 1.0
high=1.8
operating range=0.15-4.7
I don't think that number is right sounds more like V-REV witch is 4.96 check those PIDs # on the gauge , the first few times when entering all the numbers seem to look the same , so make sure you count all the zeros and numbers before you save it

Sounds more like VRef to me also. Check your PID inputs
Ok, I triple checked my inputs to the scan gauge. It is correct. I managed to change the pigtail out. I have to wait for the GF to get home to help me put it back together. I just tell her what to do and she does it.

WOW I need one of those, I try and tell my wife what to do and I get the Middle finger in return, I crimmed the butt connectors to the pig tail first and slide the heat wrap on then connect to the harness just make sure all connections are tight before you melt and tape together, I did a little pull test and melted with a long BBq lighter

Well, due to my health issue she is willing to do it. She took it apart last night with my instruction. Then again she wants to argue with me on some stuff.
I soldered the connections and then slide heat shrink up on them. I put a meter on the old connector. Looks just fine. I might just have a bad out of the box sensor. My luck!
OK, got the new pig tail on and plugged in. Still the same 4000 on ICP and 4.48 on ICV. Pulled the #10 fuse and had the same readings. I guess the new sensor is bad. Gotta try another one now I guess.
Well, the GF managed to get the replacement ICP sensor out last night with my instruction. I took it to the bench and did some ohm meter checks on the new replacement one and one I pulled out. Between two of the legs I get 6K ohm on the new one and 44.5K ohm on the one I pulled out originally. Both are the same p/n. I would say that is quite a bit of difference. The new one was an eBay one but has the correct International p/n. I think I am heading to an International dealer today to see if they have a new one. If not, I will head to the Ford dealer to see if he has one.

I would say so, you may look at Riffraff diesel products, they have OEM parts for a lot less my order only took 3 days and it a online order system. you can always call and talk to Clay.
Ok, mission accomplished. I picked a new ICP sensor from the International dealer today and the GF and I put it in. We have gotten pretty good at it. That coupled with the socket I built for it we can do it in an hour and a half now. All readings on the scan gauge looked good and the truck started right up each time I tried it. No spinning and no waiting on the ICP reading to drop back from 4000. ICPV looked good also. I measured the inputs on this new sensor and it looked just like the other new sensor that was bad.
This may have set a record for the longest ICP sensor swap in history. lol
I appreciate all the assistance and advice from the group. Thank you!
