Got to be a wiring harness type of an issue.

Have you tried to look behind the instrument cluster to check for loose connections?

Does the engine remain running? What about your lights? Is this dead dash syndrome associated with any event, like hitting a bump, turning left or running over a Prius?

I agree with Senix. Something is loose in the harness.

the gauges, radio, alarms (dinging for no seatbelt), and power widows go out. the lights work, the vent works, the lights work, and so does the cruise.
could that 30amp circuit breaker be going out in slot 601 on the fuse panel?
