There is a 2nd compressor on the engine one for the rear a/c. the condensor should be mounted on the lh side behind and below the driver, and the evap should be in the rear of the unit. there are seperate service valves on the condensor that make it a little easyer to ck the pressures in the system. you can also ck with the body manufacture for more info on how the system works. most likely the system is low on freon and wont cool. there are 2 compressors one for the driver and one for the rear. the drivers system work like normal and is normal position for valves and swithces.
Thanks for replying. When I turn the system on, I can only hear a small fan or pump turn on below one of the rear seats. But the fans on the air handler don't turn on or the compressor.
The fan under the rear seat should be a heater, there should be some swithces on the over head pannel for the heat and the a/c. Who is the body maker of this unit. the ***** or switches should be 2 of them one for heat/ac and the other for the fan speed of the rear a/c...
Ok great Carrier, Now who is the body maker like Ford is the chassies maker there is a name for the body such krystal coach, thomas coach etc etc, there should be a build tag on the drivers door jam, once you get that Info you can contact them for manuals and trouble shooting guides..
I just had mine fixed as the AC was not working. Turns out the 3 exterior fans were seized up and it tripped a fuse to prevent the system from freezing up. Replaced the fans, replace the fuse and it works!
