finally got to actually ride my 2003 yamaha grizzly. its got the 660, automatic, 27 inch mud tires, and winch.
my last wheeler was a 2002 yamaha big-bear 400c.c. with the same tires, and a winch. the difference is like night and day.
the grizzly has independent suspension, front AND REAR! rides sooo smooth... i rode it off and on for 13 hours saturday, put on about 150 miles. i wasnt even sore afterwards. my little cousin was on her 4wheeler, said i did some pretty nice jumps in the ditches. i guess i didnt notice, i was enjoying the ride too much.
the power i AWESOME!!! never bogs down, and the speedometer reads 60 MPH topped ot, bt i know its going faster because of the bigger tires ( maybe 65 MPH ? ) MAN it can hill climb in 4wheel drive with the differential locks on.
i mentioned a few months ago id post after i got a good trail ride in, so here it is.
Glad to hear you like the beast. I have a few friends that have them and they are simply amazing.
My next quad will be one but I still plan on keeping the 01 big bear with works shocks, locked diff, 26 inch 589's and the good old 446 cc kit from fst. After all its fun to ride a wheelie in 4 gears.
