I know it's early, but if anyone has any ideas let me know.
I'm on my way to the Ohio truck meet, cruising 65-70 mph and when I correct my steer any amount it feels like my back end is floating. I pulled over and checked each tire. No movement, and they don't look low on air.
I just had a new tire put on the right rear. Could that affect the drive?
Again, this is urgent because I'm currently driving, and I'm a bit worried. Thanks to anyone who can help this early!
Is the new tire the same size and profile as the others? How many mile are on the other tires?
I had a similar experience years ago when I had passenger car tires put on my old Suburban. The sidewalls were too soft for a truck and squirmed, especially when loaded.
Well, it didn't feel like I was going to lose control or anything, but it was a feeling that wasn't there before, so I was concerned. I'll let it break in some and see how it goes. I'll check the pressure when I have a chance too. Thanks!
