transmission conversion question

Can a 4 speed from a 2wd 85 6.9 be converted to use with my 4x4 85 that is currently an automatic? I knew some transmissions can, my transmission went out and I'd like to make it manual and I can get a good deal on this transmission and everything with it. Thanks

yes, but you will need to use a divorced transfer case and 3 new driveshafts.

ideally,you would sell your spare 2wd 4 speed and put the $ toward a 4wd zf5.the fuel savings will eventually surpass the price difference and much more.

Ok thanks guys. He would have sold everything to me for two hundred but it sounds like it would be to expensive what truck can I get a five speed from
