Canadian Flooding

I hope none of our Canadian members are being affected by all the flooding.
To all Canadians being affected my best wishes and prayers.

Thanks Dannyboy for the thoughts and prayers, I am not personally affected directly as we are too high but it is causing grid lock and disruptions throughout the City of Calgary and other areas of southern Alberta. Calgary has, as of the evening news, evacuated 75,000 people from their homes and evacuated the entire downtown area effectively shutting down the city. Some emergency services personal worked a full 24 hours before getting relieved. All the schools were shut down and graduations were cancelled. So far there were four people swept away by the raging waters south of the city. This is not good, it will be several months and years to recover from this.

WOW that is just up and East of me and we got a gusher
a few days back.

Anyone in the flooding PLEASE be safe and stay out of
waterlogged roads. You never know what is hiding under
all the deep water.

What a SHOCK! I live in Bragg Creek, but have been holidaying in Montana for the last week. Was about to drive home on Friday but neighbours said that road into my house is closed because bridges need to be inspected first.

I guess the house is safe, but the power is off for safety reasons so I am not sure what the state of the freezer contents will be in.

Everyone's best wishes are much appreciated!

County says we can return after noon Saturday; so.. will plan to arrive Monday and see just what needs to be tended to! But for now.. 2 more days in my favourite second home... MONTANA!

With the power off you may end up trashing a lot of the stuff in the
any fridge and/or freezer. If the freezer is a newer one it may survive.
Just be safe with it and if there is any question toss it out.
