It's a one piece body like the Falcon, the box isn't separate.

Ford tried the unibody bed in the early 60's for about 2 or 3 years...

Ford is currently in the process of tearing down the plant in St. Paul, MN where they built the Rangers, and lots of other Fords, including my '53 f350.
