I've got some serious scratches on the driver side door glass. I see there's a TSB addressing this problem, and that Ford apparently fixed a lot of trucks with this defect under warranty.
What are my options? Is there someplace besides the dealer to purchase new glass weatherstripping that isn't defective? TIA
I'd probably seek a glass shop that uses CarLite and have them replace the glass. Carlite is who makes the OEM glass for ford so you'd have the (IMHO) the best glass in there. I'm kind of OCD so I'd probably have them replace the glass on both sides so one doesn't look new and the other old.

Thanks for the tip. Gotta replace the window weatherstripping first. Passenger door glass is not hosed up - yet, but the weatherstripping needs to be replaced on both. Need a source other than the stealer ($85 per side plus tax, ouch!).
You could try one of the sponsors on here and see if they had some. I know many had ordered thru Y2Kford, if they are still participating.
Plus if you are somewhat handy I had a write up somewhere on FTE on how to replace I believe the drivers side door glass. You can do a search and you should be able to come up with it.
I work at a glass shop and used to replaced door glass on a weekly basis. You can replace the weatherstripping at the same time.
Started getting scratches again about 6 months ago. Ouch!
So you didn't miss anything.
My Ex spend 4-5 years in an extremely dusty environment so I attributed the driver's door glass to be a result of that exposure (the windshield is also scratched by the windshield wipers) - until I found that TSB. I was thinking that maybe I could simply wash/clean the window weatherstripping that would solve that problem, but that TSB put me on another course BEFORE damaging another piece of glass (or two).
