Instrument cluster
I have a 2005 F350 SD Diesel with a instrument cluster problem. It blanks out and I loose all readings on the cluster,power windows,stereo and interior lights. this occurs off and on. lasting a few seconds to 20mins. the on and off is accompanied by a clicking noise in the fuse panel area. i have already replaced the breaker - no change. this problem is posted in the Super Duty forum but im not getting many bites and was hoping for a little luck here.

There are at least 6 fuses that effect the instrument cluster have you check all of them?
The clicking noise sounds like a relay, can you narrow it down to which relay. Fuse f2-30 effects cluster and Fog lamp relay, check it. When it blanks out does it effect fog lights, what about highbeams

In the Tech folders under instrument cluster , there was a great thread on this ,had something to do with the soldering on the contacts, sorry Im not sure how to link it up like rusty does.Happy reading
