New Boots Arrived

Look at what showed up at my door today! Now, just trying to decide should I change them before vacation, or just carry them with me in case I need one?!!

Carry them with you as a spare. Unless you are showing a leak.

I know the 6.0L was prone, but the 6.4L was a leaker on the build 1 2008 trucks.

I have replaced one that leaked. It is the emissions stuff that kills them. Oil vapors from the crankcase.

Nope, no leak that I've noticed. I've been wanting to get a set ever since the one blew out on my med unit that day. Realized then how stranded you are when it goes. Remember, I put one form a 6.0 on it when the dealership didn't have one for the 6.4L. Only 5/8" length between the two. Anyway, you can't be prepared for everything that is going to happen, but some things you can. From all the reviews I've read, I went with these over the factory ones.

How much did they run you? I may invest in it before our cross country tow this year.

Around $212 with shipping I believe. They were cheaper a month or so ago. Just one of the stock boots from the dealer was $78 and that's at my price. Now I just have to remember to take them with me. From all I've read these have better clamps and all other reviews have been favorable.

Thumbs up They are great..

I installed mine last weekend. So much better than stock it isn't funny.
My old intercooler pipes used to move around very easily now they are pretty stiff.

Here's a picture of my stock ones the day I switched.
When I saw all this oil I just about freaked out..
