Hey guys, I found a 05 Lincoln Aviator that an elder lady owns that I'm considering buying but she doesn't know if its a awd or not. Her husband bought it new and has passed away. Its in incredible condition with only 66k miles. I was hoping someone could tell me if its awd or not. Here is the vin#5LMEU68H35ZJ22399
Yeah I was going to ask her to look for a front drive-shaft on it but decided I would see if someone her might be able to tell from the vin#...it is 400 miles away so I don't wanna drive there to check it out if its not awd.
Your best bet is to take the VIN to your local Lincoln dealer and as them for a build sheet for it. The build sheet will have everything listed that went into that vehicle when it was built at the factory. Also, since you don't own the vehicle you might want to bring a print of the ad, otherwise they might not be overly cooperative.
If its a good enough deal it might be worth dropping the $40 on a car fax. There 22 pop up on the vehicle, they could just be services. Can the women take a pic of the dash?
