Got my new intercooler (ecoboost condensation issue)
Finally had the condensation issue get me driving to work about 2-3 weeks ago stepped on the gas on the highway sputtered as it got to upper rpms check engine light came on then after the water worked out ran fine. Under 60k miles so still have drive train warranty so I'm more than happy to go to the dealer left it for the day they told me they ordered an intercooler so I picked it up that afternoon parts came in quick but couldn't find a day to leave it at the dealer til today. This morning I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up after work all fixed don't expect any more issues whatsoever especially considering how much I drive and how long it took to see this known issue show up. I think I look at it like I did the trans in my old 96, I knew it would blow at 150k miles and it did, couldn't be happier that ford found the problem and responded with fixing it for me no charge and on my schedule.
Happy ecoboost owner here if this truck had come with rear air bags stock it would be the perfect truck just glad that it seems the issue ford missed with a bench mark setting motor is with the intercooler and that they straightened it out for us..... Almost trust it as much as I did my old 460 that means some mods could be in the future see if I can't find some more power... (Then again it was easy when I didn't have a warranty and half the computer power under the hood)

So Ford covered your intercooler repair through warranty? We had the same issues you described, but were told it was the "brake vacuum pump". Brake....as in something broken not brakes! We were also told that it was not covered under warranty as we were over in miles so we had to foot the just shy of $1,000.00 bill. This was 9 months ago and we were under 50,000 miles. Do you have the extended warranty?

Yes covered under the original warranty but if you're at 50k miles on factory plugs that's probably part of your problem. I got 40k on the first set, replaced them when it started to miss under acceleration, usually highway floored 3-5k rpm then at 80k same deal, but put in some aftermarket ones we'll see how long these go. The ford ones had cracked insulation and gaps were all over the place.
