I installed a used Edelbrock Performer intake manifold on my 302 engine in my 1950 ford F-1. Because I couldn't get the plug out where the temperature sender is normally located (adjacent to the distributor) I had to locate it towards the rear of the manifold. Will this location have a major effect on the temperature reading ??
Thanks
No, it should be fine. I would prefer it at the front, but the reading will be pretty close to accurate. You can always install a pipe "Tee" in the heater hose location in the intake's front and install the sender there too. If you do, use brass fittings, not iron or steel.
