i got a 88 f150 302 5 speed 4x4 and 1st and 2nd gear just quit working no grinding or anything reverse still works any one have any ideas

Something may have happened to the shifting fork or the pin holding it on the shaft, possibly the syncro gear split too. If thats the only gears you lost and it happened without warning or grinding.
