5.4 3v plug electrode removal
So after much soaking in carb cleaner for days working plugs slowly all I can get out is the upper nut part of plug the rest of plug remains and on the first one trying to pull the top porcelain piece and electrode out all I got was the top portion and the electrode broke off flush with Lower porcelain so I then used the removal tool by pushing porcelain down to get tap in pulled the rest of it out and by doing so it had broke the electrode strap off tip of plug and left it in cylinder so with many hours of bore scope fishing I got it out but I am now working on the next plug and I am having the same trouble it's like the tip of the electrode is carbon'd up so bad that it won't come through lower porcelain piece u can't pull hard enough with needle nose pliers to get it to come out if u could in some way maybe hook a slide hammer to end of it I think it would come but I can't seem to figure out how to do so the truck has 140,000 miles on the original plug and I'm guessin that is the reason I am having so much trouble with this one anyone have any ideas I really don't want to go fishing anymore thanks
