Modified rear suspension?

I was changing the oil yesterday in my new to me X ( bought it 3 weeks ago ) and I was just checking it out from underneath when I noticed something that looks not stock. See picture below.

Is this what people refer to as an " airbag " set up? I towed with it for the first time this week and typically on my other X's if I did not hook up the weight distribution hitch, the rear of the truck would sag. This X did not. It also has more of a truck like feel to it when driving it.

Looks like the Firestone ride rite. Look on your rear bumper for air lines. Most put them thru the license plate.

I found one on my front porch today.

Yes! I found the valve in the rear bumper near the license plate. Underneath I found the red air lines running to the bags. I checked the valve and they seem to have almost no air in them. What is recommended? 5 psi minimum like suggested above?

Yes. 5lbs minimum otherwise from what I understand, the bags can get damaged.

Hopefully yours won't be.

Yeah, anything below 5psi lets the bag be used as a bumpstop jounce and increases the chance of rubbing or pinching a hole in the bags. You can buy replacement bags, but they are not much less than the whole kit. Seems like last time I looked they were in the $115-125 range each. I only gave $300 for my kit.
