Anyone with a d plate in Illinois go through safety lane with lifted truck? Do they check bumper and frame heights?

 

You may have to stop at a safety lane and ask. I only have B plates, I don't have to be inspected. (Car dealer put B plates on my truck and I wasn't gona argue) If places by you are too strict, you may want to come closer in my direction to get your inspection. I see lifted full size trucks out by me with D plates all the time. I should get D plates, my truck weighs 7820 lbs without me in it. I think B is only good to 8000 lbs. I'm not sure what the D plate legal height is.
