Resetting timing

Is there any way to adjust the timing on a 89 bronco with a 302. The manual I have says it can't be adjusted on the TFI style ignitions. I figure there has to be some way to do it.

No you can't, the timing is set by the computer. Why do you want to adjust it?

Resetting timing

Just pull the spout connector that is near the distributor. Once you pull it, then do the timing and plug the connector back in.

what does this spout connector look like? there is a harness going to the module on the dist., and there is also a short capped pigtail hanging off. Is the spout connector further up the harness?

that is the spout connector. It is a jumper that sends the SPark OUTput signal from the TFI module to the computer. Pull it and you can adjust the timing without the computer messing w/ it at the same time.
