Carpet/Floorpan Shape question
The choices for floorpan options are 2wd auto, 4wd auto, 2wd 4spd, 4wd 4spd. My truck was originally a 3sd 2wd, so I chose 2wd 4spd. Now that I have obtained the carpet, there is a large raised rectangular region in the middle of the trans hump. My floorpan has no such feature. In fact, the floorpan has a rectangular indentation in the middle of the trans hump. So when I place the carpet over it, there is no metal directly underneath it. I could place some think foam padding under it, but for ~$200 I expect a company to get this **** right.
Am I missing something? Is my floorpan weird or does everyone else have the same features? Alternatively, have people had problems with Stock Interiors parts not fitting?
If the center hump is removable, it's a high rise. If the floor pan is one piece and not removable, it's low rise.
What you probably should have ordered is the auto 2WD carpet.
The two pictures below, both trucks are 360/C6 2WD. One came with the high hump and the other came with the low hump.
Like 78_f800crewcab4x4 said, you could always find a removable hump and put it on you floor pan, screw it in place and cover it with the carpet.
