New here and having some problems

New to this forum I use to hang out in the powerstroke area. I got an 84 F150 I'm have a terrible time with. I've only had it a couple of days and today I decided to bleed the front brakes. I pulled the front tire off bled the passenger side and went to put the tire back on and all of the studs pushed through into the rotor. So I pulled the hub off and can't figure out if the studs for the wheels are suppose to go through the hub or if they go through the brake rotor and the hub. If I put them into the rotor they just spin but I can hammer them into the hub. Any kind of insight would be helpful.

The pressed in rotors fit our 4x4s. The hats only i think are for 2wd.

So I'm thinking I just put the studs through the backside of the rotor in to the hub and then torque them down to where they are seated in the rotor. Should I buy new studs? Thanks for the help.

The studs are usually pressed in. If they are out i would go ahead and change them.

when i replace the stud's i line the splines up and take a brass punch and hammer and knock them in. i have seen the stud's ring off trying to pull them thru with nut's and air gun.

Thanks for the help, I ordered new studs today so hopefully they are the right size. I have 2 different lengths for it right now not sure what that is all about. Does anyone have or know where I can get the diagram for putting the bearings and axle nut's and all that stuff back together? I pulled it apart last night when it was dark and raining now I can't really remember how it goes. I think I have the 4x4 hub figured out but not sure where the spring goes and how the nuts go on. I bought a Haynes manual and of course it doesn't show how it goes together.

If you ever need exploded views check out lmctruck.com or another online parts catalog. They should have an exploded view for individual part ordering.

i'm not up to much on where to tell you to find that info so i just tell you. once you have your inner and outer bearings in the hub slide the hub on to the spindle. the first thing that goes on is the lock nut that has a what i call a tit sticking out make sure that is pointing toward you. run that nut up till it's snug then back off about 1/4 turn then take your lock washer, it has holes all way around and a off set in the middle to fit on the spindle.[ make sure that this washer seats aganist the nut the tit will go in one of the holes in the washer it may take several tryes to get the washer lined up just right you got to turn the nut till they line up making sure you don't loosen it to much]. once that's done the second nut goes on now [lock nut] you can tighten it as tight as you can get it by hand. now you are ready for your alumninum gear goes in next hollow part facing you. then your spring next then your gear with the teeth to to inside. then install the little phillips head screw that holds the gear on. then install your lock ring on the inside hub housing and you ready to install your lock out. hope this helps

You can purchase studs at most any parts store, they're pretty generic.
