Trying to pull the valve bodies and such to do some work to my old E4OD that the PO didn't service much. I have everything off but the solenoid body and can't get the plug connector to turn loose. Is there a clip somewhere? Does it pull straight down so I can pry on it some? It's in my driveway with torrential rain, of course so any responses helpful. 96 F350 4X4
True that! We just got done with all the mods using the Transgo Tugger kit. I hope it helps my tranny. We did get a good look inside though, actually tore the filter apart and it had very little debris. The fluid was really old but not burnt, so I am hoping once we get some new valve body gaskets we can put it back together tomorrow after work and the big "clunk" I get going into OD and the looseness between gears will go away.... along with the rain! Between trans fluid and water I'm soaked!
Ahhh good deal.im curious how you like that.one of these days theres an e4od here im gonna give some lovin too!
You still in for rre tent neighbor?
Absolutely! Keepin the schedule clear and stocking up on mosquito spray! If the sales at my new job keep up the current pace, I will be able to afford my injectors and DP Infinity by then, so keep your fingers crossed!!!!

Sweet Dan. If you haven't driven a chipped truck with injectors, you're in for a surprise. Ill throw my chip on stock once in a while and I can't believe I used to drive it like that! Lol.
Sorry I wasn't more help with that Dan. The extent of my knowledge on the E4OD is limited to pulling it out and putting in a ZF I guess I should learn more about them though. I need to get a manual and tear one down to learn more about them, especially if I plan on doing a PSD/E4OD in a Bronco someday!

It is the biggest thing I have ever seen. Glad that my filter was so clean, I really would not want to pull it out if I don't have to!

Mine has the Edge tuner on it, so I have some idea. But I bet with injectors and better tunes it will really be great.
Yeah, the E4ODs are pretty heavy. I would like to learn how to rebuild them someday though. When I'm 90 years old and still driving a OBS PSD, I may not be able to push the clutch in any more! LOL!!
