I have a 67' f350 with a 352/np435 and I'm looking to run some full length headers. I'm planning on investing some $$$ into ceramic coated hookers. I'd like to here from guys who have put headers on an FE themselves.
Would also like to know whether they go over/under the crossmember, thanks.
Either way, they should go over the crossmember... tougher to do on a manual trans rig than an automatic but not impossible... gotta find a good muffler shop (2.25-inch or 2.5-inch tubing) to snake it by the clutch linkage. However, most will opt to have both tubes go down the inside of the passenger frame rail. Alternatively, get a U-fit exhaust tubing kit from Speedway Motors ($140!) and show us your skills!
I saved a pic of someone in there who clearanced their crossmember with half-moons made from like 5-inch diameter pipe so the tubing ran "through" the crossmember.

2wd. Im glad to here they go over the crossmember, I figured there would be a little fooling around required to get the drivers side pipe through... I'm going to take a closer look at that. Thanks.

Is your engine and crossmember the 3 point with front mount comming off of the timing chain cover and the two rear mounts off of the bell housing or the standard 2 mounts either side of the block and trans the rear mount. Im just wondering if the 67 350 is the same as the 4wds from 61-66 if so the headers will go under the rear crossmember. I believe my muffler shop ran
3 1/2 from the header to the flowmaster single muffler with a 2 1/2 exit where the stock pipe would have. It was run down the passanger side as was stated before. I did not dual it as I wanted to leave a little back pressure for more low end torque and I dont race the truck. If its not the front motor mount to timing chain never mind.
Edit: Flowtech long tube headers is what I went with.
The header collectors will point under the crossmember but they should not go under the crossmember.
Below is a comparison of my 4x4's (2wds will be identical) old dual system and the collector tubes I fabricated to orient the system down the passenger-side frame rail.
This was done 10 years ago, and I will be replacing them with Hookers Headers myself. I am going to wrap my headers this time with some thermal tape, so have decided against the coating.

Im out in left field then. I thought that 76 F350 would still be the 3 point mount with the front mount comming off of the front of the motor and the 2 rear mounts off of the bellhousing. If this is not your setup forget all I have said and I will slink away quietly letting the thread roll on.

Left upper pic: F100/350 three point engine mounting system: 1965 F100/250 4WD / 1965/66 F350 / 1966 F250 4WD.
Thanks Bill somewhere I got it into my head that the 67 and 68 F350 were still off of the same platform that the 65 and 66 f350s were. I learn something new everyday or Im dead.
