7.3 IDI dies
Hi everyone I have a -1991 F350 4x4 7.3 IDI E4OD..
When I start the truck it dies if I dont keep my foot on the pedal for a few seconds.
Same if I rush it and release the pedal quickly..
I tried draining the fuel filter.. what can be wrong?

would could be wrong are a few things.
bad fuel,or dirty fuel system.
idle speed incorrect.
air intrusion.
you forgot to press down on the pedal to set the high idle while waiting for the wait to start light to go out.
your fuel injectors are in need of replacement.
your injection pump is in need of replacement.
id start with the small things and work your way up.
