Leaking coolant from timing cover
Ok i need massive help. I just revuilt a 292 y block and put radiator fluid in an gave it a start up. Ran well except for leaking from a bolt on timing cover its the bolt that also holds the timing pointer. I unbolted it and radiator fluid pour out like a stuck pig. Am i suppost to use sealing tape on bolt threads whats my problem?

Those bolts on the timing cover run into the water jacket of the engine. Drain the coolant, remove each bolt and put a good sealer around the end of the threads and reinstall said bolts. Torque to specs.
