2011 F250 Folding Mirror NOT WORKING!
I drove my company car to work yesterday and when I came home and tried to move my truck, I pulled my Power Folding mirror button and to my surprise the passenger side mirror would not fold out. It barely moved and then made a loud popping sound. I then hit the button again and it returned to the close position only moving about an inch. Directly after that I checked out the forums to find out how to reset the system and resync the mirrors. It said to push both mirrors to the fully closed position and then pull the button so they pop out together. Well that didn't work. I've tried just about everything with no luck. I finally decided to take it to the dealership and they are going to check it out and get back to me today. Fortunately, the truck only has 14000 miles and is still under warranty. So the $1600 mirror might get replaced at no cost. Still, kind of a stupid thing to break so soon. And, NO, the mirror has never been struck or damaged by an object or person. Let’s see what they say.
Anyone else ever had this problem?
Here is the video I made (after doing everything the instructions told me)

Happened once on mine but seemed to be an anomaly as I haven't experienced it since.
My passenger side mirror won't extend though unless I give it a bump start (like banging the old tv to make it work). It's been like that for a year or so, just haven't taken it to the dealer to have them fix it.

Here's my question, I have an extended warranty, does that cover the mirrors? My driver side mirror is doing the same thing, works some times then stops and I hear that popping sound.

Mine quit. Was told the motor gets out of sync. Was told to pull out to match other mirror until you hear a click. Then try again. Worked just fine. Friend at dealership advised its a safety feature to protect all the motorized "stuff" inside the mirror but an easy fix. Usually passenger side that gets out of sync while I'm folding the mirrors back from an overly aggressive wife who slams the door!
