Frame shortening

I'm just wondering what the wheel base are for a extended cab long box truck. Compared to a regular cab long box. I have a mint extended cab and want to shorten it to a regular cab

Why not find a regular cab truck? It would be alot easier on you in my opinion. I'd want the extended cab over my regular cab. Want to trade?

It seems there are quite a bit more reg. trucks running around.

Because around here finding trucks that old in decent shape is hard. And I was given this frame that is damn near new. Not a spot think anywhere.

If I understand correctly your truck is a RCLB, you found a SCLB frame you want to put under it? 22" difference I believe. I'm doing the opposite, putting a supercab on a RCLB frame. I can confirm the length difference later today.

Yea is it just different between the cab mounts? The frame is perfect and already stripped, so I think it's better to shorten a perfect one then to patch and use a thin one.
