I am sure you can with some creativity. My question to you is why? If you put the regular cab on a super cab frame you will have to build a bed that is going to be about 9 1/2 foot long.

Thanks for the help. I have a regular bed, which is on a regular cab frame, already. I can pick-up a '74 extended cab (whole truck) for $400.00.
So the frame on an extended cab is 9 1/2 inches longer than a regular cab, right? Could I trim the excess as needed?
I am not for sure how much longer the frame is but i have owned both of them and when my reg cab set beside my cab and a half the whole truck was about a foot and a couple of inches longer. Yes you could fill the gap in but what is wrong with your reg cab frame if you need a 4 wheel drive chassis i have a highboy frame.
I looked at doing the exact opposite for a bit, but wound up finding a '76 F350 SC LWB. What I found while pondering this type swap:
Reg cab long bed frame is 133" (approx. wheel base numbers)
Reg cab short bed frame is 116" (or 117" ?)
Ext cab long bed frame is 155"
So the extended cab is 22" longer than the regular cab. For this series truck Ford only offered one style that was the appropriate length (approx. 140") for an ext cab short bed combo back then, the very rare Super Camper Special. It had the rear axle set back 7" I believe so these beds only fit this frame.
Without some frame modifications, swapping cab sizes just won't bolt on.

Funny you should mention SCS. I have a '75 F-350 Super Camper Special in my driveway.
Thank you all for your help. As usual I get the best information from this site. Go Ford-trucks!
