im trying to figure out what frame my truck has, the body is from a 78. my dad built the truck back in the early 90s and he swapped a 78 2wd body onto a 4x4 frame. he doesnt remember what year/model truck the frame came from though, so what are some ways to tell?
check vin on top of the right-side frame rail...probably will need a wire brush and some elbow grease to uncover it...
It will be stamped on the top of the passenger frame rail about where the passenger front tire sits. I took a pic of mine and wrote down the numbers for my records.
