Please Help Me!!

I was given a late model 91 Ford Aerostar. Wanting to make it a little more manly. What all parts can u use for swaps(any welcome and please be specific) on the following:

Front Bumper(OEM or aftermarket)

Front and second seats

headlight and taillight to led/halogen

Side skirt/running boards

I am thinking that Ford Explorer and Ranger could be close fit but needing a little help.

Thanks to anyone for their input.

There are many aftermarket choices for a front bumper, should run around $100 and will be paint to match.

Front and second seats
Anything is possible, you will have to do some modification so they will fit the tracks. Anything non-van will have to be bolted to your OE tracks.

headlight and taillight to led/halogen
Headlights, you have tons of options, they are 6054 sealed beams, so you could go with replacements like these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/7-x6-H6054-Sealed-Beam-Replacement-White-LED-Black-Chrome-Clear-Headlight-Lamps-/290924841797?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43bc78cb45&vxp=mtr

Side skirt/running boards
Searching e-bay you might come across some NOS boards, otherwise search junk yards, the sport version came with Aero style boards that accent the body.

only thing that will bolt up are wheels. the rest would need modification.

I have wheels from a 96 Lincoln Mark 7 lsc that a buddy gave me...i was thinking bout using explorer seats and i was gonna use a aftermarket front and rear bumper from an explorer or ranger which ever had the same width on the body. But thanks for the info...but what about the taillights?

I would recommend the 200mm rectangular lights by Cibie' for the head lights:

Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply

I would not try any of the LED replacements for the tail lights. None of them work very well.

The LEDs are significantly dimmer, so you have to make a housing just for them that presents them properly so that they are clearly visible. You cannot easily do this with a stock housing, and no one makes any aftermarket ones. Just putting an LED bulb into the stock housing will deliver poor results.

You will need a different flasher, and/or a load equalizing resistor, particularly on the brake circuit. Otherwise it causes too many issues.

Depends, how much do you want to spend?

You can go coil overs, air bags, air shocks, ect....

decent and fairly priced, you might want to look into Monroe shocks, and their coil overs for the rear to help with stance. I have been running those for several years and have no complaints.

The 3.0l doesn't die easily. The cooling systems are the weak points on Aeros. Flush, flush, flush, then change the coolant every two years.

I had to replace everything on my first 3.0l that was cooling related: heater core, hoses, radiator, rear casting plug, pass side casting plug. Everything except the water pump.
