76 Brakes

I am currently replacing brake parts on my 76 F100 but I can not figure out how to remove the brake calipers from the shoes on the front disc brakes. I know this sounds like an easy issue but there is so much mud and other build up on them that I can not see any screws or anything. I have tried cleaning them but it's pretty bad. Can anyone eplain the process for disassembling the front brakes for a 76 F100? Or can anyone send me any pictures of the steps that I need to take? Thank you.

You have brake pads not shoes on disk brakes. To remove the caliper (picture yourself between the caliper and the cab on the drivers side) there is one bolt that holds the slide which has a spring/ bar on it. Once you remove the bolt, tap that slide out with a punch, flat tip, chisel, or something like that away (outwards) from the truck. You might have to compress the piston back in a little then push up on the caliper and raise the bottom out. If this doesn't make sense when your looking at it then you might want to search youtube or something...
