Any help is appreciated

Hey guys,
I am looking at a 94 Bronco. The truck is in good enough condition that I am buying it and making it my new project, especially for the price. I know this is a long shot and very open question, but just curious if there is a common remedy any of you have found to be the culprit of my problem. The motor turns over good and after pulling on spark plug, I am getting spark. I also pulled the air intake hoses from the air filter so I know I am getting air. I am not getting fuel to the plugs. It sounds like it is wanting to start from time to time but just wont kick off. Fuel pump is kicking on, the guy I am buying it from just had the tank dropped and cleaned and replaced the fuel pump, I disconnected the fuel filter and it poured gas out (on me) I am wondering if maybe the injectors are not sending fuel to the motor... Is there a relay or switch I can troubleshoot for that? I even sprayed some starter fluid straight into the intake and it wouldnt fire up. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I would guess it's not getting proper fuel pressure.

Do you think I should start with a new fuel pressure regulator? I was going to check out the fuel filter area first, didn't feel like the incoming line was clipped onto the filter very well. If the fuel line quick connect is messed up, should I just cut the line and splice a few more inches on and use clamps to try and get a good hold/seal?

If you intention is to burn it to the ground, yes.... These trucks use a high pressure pumps, and a piece of regular fuel line and a couple worm gear clamps is NOT the way to do it..

If your fuel lines are messed up I suggest finding a donor in the salvage yard and getting the correct lines and fittings.. Finding the fuel line parts new will mostly be a lost cause..

No. Start with a fuel pressure gauge and see if you have proper pressure for the injectors.

No, you should use exact replacement parts if you want it to hold up.

Ok, will only be using OEM replacement fuel lines. I am not by any means a mechanic (obviously) but I have had and worked on multiple older vehicles in the past, so I kinda know my way around a motor, just baffles me that I have spark, yet even spraying starter fluid into the throttle body, its like it doesnt make it to the cylanders.... I'm just gonna scratch my head for a bit, step back and feel like an idiot when I figure out it is probably some simple...

have you checked the timing? If you are sure it is getting spark and you spray starter fluid in the intake it should at least try to fire.
