Funny you guys posted this... Yesterday a friend of my neighbors came over to look at my truck and he was telling me about the 66 he had. After talking to him for a while he was like I still have a box of parts if you want them. I was like sure just let me know how much ya want for it. He was like its free. A couple hours later he comes over with 2 boxes of stuff. Mostly junk but in one of them was the chrome for the door handles. I hadn't gotten a chance to look up how much they run.
Be aware that when the Custom Cab door handle guards are installed, the outside door handle push buttons (C4TZ-8122454-A) are 3 1/4" long.
Without the door handle guards, the push buttons (C1TB-8122454-A) are 3" long.
If you don't have the longer buttons, the doors cannot be opened. The buttons were sold by themselves, not included with the handles.
I believe that Drake and Carpenter include the longer buttons with the repopped guards, but if the guards are bought used, will the seller be aware of the longer buttons?
Seems there all advertised for '61-'66's, however, the only American built pickups that used these from the factory were '63 and '64 Custom Cabs with solid paint.

Maybe yes, maybe no.
Thank you for the much needed facts I've heard about this before but never any straight answer as if they are the same or not. Thinking of getting these handles for my 66
A set sold for $177.51 on ebay. The set was used and in need of re-conditioning but a good driver set. The Escutcheon will need to be polished and re-painted. One of the rubber gaskets is missing also. When I see a sale like this I'm amazed at how un-educated the slick owners are. This has nothing to do with the seller because he listed it at $0.99 with no reserve. My hats off to the seller. Another member and myself see items on ebay that are reproduced for x dollars. We then watch the item sell for xxx dollars. Makes us laugh. We can not educate slick owners if they don't come here first.
On another note, there is a set of Escutcheon for sale on ebay with a $500.00 buy it now. No handles or buttons just Escutcheons.
