welcome to the diesel world, i work in the truck shop at Ford in Niagara falls, and got some reccomendations for you, definately get an sct tuner and nothing else, reason why is that sct only tunes fords and it actually rewrite its program, not modifying a signal to trick the engine to do it. next is the obvious updates to engine like the fuel pressure regulator, dummy plugs 12mm, make sure it has the updated stc fitting on the pump. you should be able to see a tab cut off under the egr cooler clamp, that will indicate the cover has been removed, and usually the fitting is installed. if you need help getting warranty history i can help you since i have full access to inford. and can help you acquire tuner, deletes, exhaust. i just put my first diesel together for myself also, back in february. good luck and look forward to reply.
