Back from a relatively short backpacking trip. Got started a little late on Friday night and ended up getting poured on. Made it about 90% of the way up Lion's Head Mt. in Salisbury, CT, and could hear the rain coming. We quickly put our tents up, and about a minute after closing mine up we had instant thunder and lightning. Continued most of the night, but managed to stay dry. Hiked up over Bear Mt. the next day, and down the north side, then headed back. Overall we hiked about 12 miles yesterday, and am definitely feeling it this morning. It was a real tough hike at points. Felt good to be out there though. Hope everybody is having a good weekend.
