Transmission question
So on the 74 f100, the issue with shifting from 2-3 is still there. The other day, I pulled in to get gas and put it in reverse. The truck sort of stuttered or shuttered and jerked backward. Giving it a little gas helped and then it was ok. It seems to be getting worse now. It's now almost as if the truck doesn't have neutral either. Putting the selector in either N or D will still have the truck going forward. Park works fine. Any ideas??

Did you check vac. modulator on side on transmission? Make sure vacuum line is on the nipple, mine came off on a road trip and i was having shifting issues. 75 cents new hose fixed it.
Mine was a 79 f150 and vac modulator was on passenger side dunno about 74 and f100, but the vac modulator itself can go bad as well. Check it out. good luck
