Just to let everyone know, I am quiting My job so I'll be off the computor for a couple of weeks.
Is this where we beg him to stay? Do we explain how in this economy those with jobs, keep them? Do you think in a couple of weeks he'll be saying he has to get rid of his truck because he can't afford to keep it? I think FTE needs to change it's name to "Dear Abby" or sum'n like that.
Dear Abby or sum'n like that, I quit my job, now I'm losing my home. I need to sell my beloved truck, what should I do?
Dear quitter, So, jump!!
Lately I've been reading threads on here as well as other sites. Where the author starts out saying they need to sell their truck because it's to expensive to keep. They eventually get talked out of selling it when all of a sudden, someone else needs some sympathy. Everyone enables the author to cry about life sucking then he keeps his truck and all is happy.
I am the only one on this board who lost a good job due to losers and quitters. You see, the advise I gave above "So, Jump" did not fly well with my Supervisors.

P.S. Any companies out there looking for a motivational speaker?
Quitting a job ? Be sure that is a good idea, if an option. Future employers will look at that with a frown without a really good explanation. Managing your way out when possible, is a much better scenario on paper and to the ear.
isn't current retirement age around 110? He should have a few more good years in him
Hey Gembone, you need to respond to this or any thread. You need to up your post count by one. Not liking current count.
I think in Nevada 110 is the retirement age. Here in California the is no age. you can't retire or they tax you. You can't die or they tax you, you can't do anything without being taxed. So, no need to retire.

I finally got a chance to check out this old thread. YOU GUYS CRACKED ME UP!! LITERALLY! Thx for the concern and advice. And laughter tears in my eyes. John, I am close. Only 10 more years before retirement. You are also close as far as working for Bill. I can tell he was the kind of Parts Manager I would have really liked to work for. I respect him a lot according to stuff I've read in his replies. Guys, I knew there was a dealer looking for another guy when I quit the other. As it ends up it is a good thing I didn't give them 2 weeks notice as I normally would have done. In that 2 weeks I would have been working I met an awesome woman. The total rebuild of my life I needed happened last month. To all our family out there in FTE, I say SALUTE!

I'm glad you saw humor in my post, most of it was for humor only. Others take things to seriously and get headaches.
Congratulations on a new life.
Now get back to work!!!
