I recently discovered a way to make trips to the junk yard much easier. I didn't see this information in any of the sticky threads. Mods, if it violates any of the guidelines, please edit or delete.
My problem is that my local yard does not have any dentsides. Interchange listings are hard to come by. But I found that the Well Vehicle Electronics website will tell you all the applications for a particular part. Apparently they get their info from ShowMeTheParts.com
It will show you a list of other vehicles (make, model, year, engine) that use that same part. I copied it into a spreadsheet and printed it to take to the junk yard, but you can also do a Print Screen.
On a part that I was looking for, I found almost 250 other vehicles (Dodge, Ford, Mazda, Plymouth, Eagle) that used the same part and was able to quickly locate one in the yard.
